Future of Wellness

Challenge
A high-profile summit at Downtown LA Proper with a very specific designer look: the production had to serve the design.
What we did
We owned the full production with an 8-person team: the technical plan, the build to the look and the show itself.
Result
Seamless execution. Vogue Business then chose MSTRS as its exclusive technical partner across the US.

Emmy afterparty

Challenge
Netflix's Primetime Emmy afterparty, and the full quote had to be put together in only 2 hours.
What we did
As technical partner to Gold Sky Productions, our partner since 2016, we owned the full production: the quote, then 17 crew over 3 days.
Result
Full production delivered for Netflix's Primetime Emmy afterparty, as technical partner to Gold Sky.

Thank you for your dedication and genuine caring in helping to make the UNICEF event such a success. But most importantly you went the extra mile on site as little “fires” arose. A pleasure working with such a dedicated professional. Appreciate you and your team’s efforts on Friday.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your hard work on NewFronts West—each of you helped us take the show to the next level. This proved to be a complex show with many competing (and at times conflicting) demands and you all handled it professionally and courteously. Each of your efforts to improvise and problem solve on the fly did not go unnoticed and I truly appreciate your commitment to the job.

How we run the room+

Show technology is how we run the event, not a separate business. The same crew that plans the production designs and runs the audio, lighting, video and LED, staging, live streaming and capture, and the content team films the event. We are not a rental house: equipment goes with the production team, never as a standalone rental.

About MSTRS Production

About our Los Angeles live event production partner

MSTRS Production is a live event production partner based in Hollywood, Los Angeles. We plan, design and run live events from production management to the last cue; show technology is how we run the event, not a second business next to it.

We are not a rental house. Equipment goes with the production team, never as a standalone rental.

We work for event producers, creative and marketing agencies, brands, studios and venues on summits and conferences, corporate events, brand and product launches, awards and galas, and premieres. The company was founded in Hollywood in 2016.

Founder Yurii Barybin has worked in live entertainment in Europe since 2000 and in the US since 2015 — 25+ years. Our team has worked on more than 8,000 events.

Same team as 1987 Masters, same work; the new name is a rebrand.

Brand podcasts are recorded at Goldmine Podcast Studio, a separate partner studio: goldminepodcast.com.

In short, MSTRS Production is one Hollywood production partner for the creative and the technical side of an event — the team you call when it can't go wrong.

Event production FAQ, Los Angeles

FAQ
What does a live event production company do?+

It plans, designs and runs the production and technical side of an event: the technical plan and budget, specs and CAD, audio, lighting, video and LED, staging, live streaming, crew and show day. MSTRS Production does this as one team in Los Angeles, for event producers, agencies, brands, studios and venues.

Is MSTRS Production the same as 1987 Masters?+

Yes. The new name is a rebrand of the same team, founded in Hollywood in 2016 by Yurii Barybin.

Do you work for agencies as a subcontractor or white label?+

Yes. As your Agency Production Partner we provide both equipment and crew, plus a technical director who represents your agency's and your client's interests. We review other vendors' quotes and help you choose, compare venues, and optimize and control the technical budget. White-label or co-branded; your client stays yours.

Can you be the in-house AV team for a venue?+

Yes. As a venue's In-House Technical Partner we run your rooms all year as your house team: the technical side of every event your team books, crew, onsite support and house equipment care. As 1987 Masters, our team was for 8 years the exclusive in-house technical contractor for venues including NeueHouse and TAO Group Hospitality venues.

Do you rent equipment?+

We are not a rental house. Equipment goes with the production team, never as a standalone rental.

What areas do you serve?+

We are based in Hollywood and work across Los Angeles. We have also worked in 17 cities, including San Diego, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, Chicago, New Orleans, Miami, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto and Montreal. Travel terms are agreed per project.

Do you produce summits and conferences?+

Yes. Recent examples: the Vogue Business Future of Wellness summit at Downtown LA Proper (March 31, 2026) and the StarS Summit at the Petersen Automotive Museum (November 13, 2023).

How far in advance should we reach out?+

As soon as you have a date. Lead time depends on scope; send the date and we will confirm availability quickly.

How do we start?+

Use Start a conversation: a short form covering who you are, the event, the date and city, scope and brief. You can also email hello@mstrsproduction.com or call (310) 773-8553. A producer from our team reads every request and replies by email or phone with availability for your date and a time for a first call. On that call we walk through the brief, the venue and the run of the day, and we agree the next step: a site visit, first drawings or a scoped proposal. Visits to 1141 Seward Street are by appointment; we send arrival and parking notes ahead. If the venue needs a certificate of insurance, we prepare the COI on request.

What budget ranges do you work with?+

Budgets are scoped per project; we do not publish prices or packages. A DJ set on a hotel rooftop and a multi-day production with a full crew come from the same house, at a different scope. The contact form has a range selector with a 'Not sure yet' option and a line for larger productions that we scope with you, and as your technical partner we keep the budget optimized and under control.

Do you offer live streaming and filming?+

Yes: live streaming, event filming, photography, recaps and interviews, run by the same team that runs the show.

Do you handle permits and security?+

Yes, in coordination with licensed partners.

Are you insured?+

Yes. A certificate of insurance (COI) is available on request.
